Covers were collected - sent for recycling!
Our member Victoria Pogodaeva wasted no time on the weekend. Together with children from Rotary Interact (Rotary International's program aimed at working with schoolchildren - boys and girls aged 12 to 18) - took part in a useful eco-deed.
Yesterday, friends handed over 200 kg of plastic lids to a waste processing enterprise run by one well-known military volunteer, Roman Khokhlov.
According to Victoria, our Rotarians were received in the patriotic office, treated with goodies and told about eco-initiatives. And also about drones, aid and many other important things in war.
A project with lids is for a long time. In order to be able to receive funds for the collected caps, there should be at least 1 ton of them. The question immediately arises as to where to accumulate them, who will count, track them, and in the end - on what to transport them.
Our teammate Volodymyr helped with the first batch of Victoria. But in the future, we probably still need to find premises, people and transport, because collecting lids for recycling is an eco-habit.
