Happy Vyshyvanka Day, I wish you happiness and unity!

Today, Ukrainianness is chivalry. We walk with our heads held high, despite obstacles and trials! We walk in our embroidered shirt - a symbol of our identity, which was and is a talisman from those Cossack times to the present day. Let's go - and the universe will see what we are like. And the world supports us!

World Embroidery Day was started in 2006 in Chernivtsi region. The initiator was Lesya Voronyuk, a student of the Faculty of History, Political Science and International Relations of Yuriy Fedkovich Chernivtsi National University.

Since then, every year on the third Thursday of May, the whole world wears Vyshyvanka.

This year, the Rotary Club Kharkiv Mriya aims to dress up everyone in all countries of the world in a Ukrainian vyshyvanka. After all, vyshyvanka is about the union of thoughts. The thought of the victory of light over darkness, democracy over totalitarianism.

Let the world learn even more that we are fighting for those ideals of chivalry that have been inherent in our people since the Cossack times, they were passed down with mother's milk, and with Vyshyvanka became established in our lives - and they are eternal.
