We were transferred 700 euros - it was extremely generous!

The fact that our club Rotary Club Kharkiv "New Level" belongs to the Rotary movement convinces us that we will overcome the wars of destruction!

Many believe that Rotary has as much power for good as the United Nations. Therefore, it is not surprising that everyone is incredibly worried about the war. Part of the donations made by caring planet Earth goes to the Rotary Disaster Response Fund. And over the past 442 days, Ukrainian Rotary clubs have received more than 18 million dollars.

How is it possible to raise so much money on your own?

To receive funding at the highest level - from Rotary International - an interested club must write a project and defend it within the framework of the grant program. Usually, we are talking about the purchase of essential items: water, food, medicine, clothes. Also, participating clubs must prove that they closely cooperate with local authorities and activists "on the ground". In this way, they will ensure that the funding will meet the specific needs of the community and precisely reach those in need.

From time to time, a club in need will approach a sister club to write a grant. And you probably understood from the photos that we did exactly that.

Our president Pavlo Filippenko on behalf of the Rotary Club Kharkiv "New Level" signed a memorandum of understanding with the Italian clubs Rotaract Club Nocera Inferiore Apudmontem and Rotaract Club Reggio Calabria Sud Parallelo 38, which attracted 700 euros from the disaster fund, transferred it to us and acted as a guarantor of the intended use funds

The money was spent on logistics, namely the delivery of a humanitarian van from the city of Lublin (Poland). The free food that was "driven" to Kharkiv was collected by our partners - the Polish branch of the international company Bidfood Farutex.
