The war will end, and the homeless animals will remain!
During the full-scale war, animals became, on the one hand, a support and symbols of indomitability - cute videos with military animals and surviving animals on the ruins of buildings keep the fighting spirit. But at the same time, we know about a cluster of problems that I want to deal with!
Kharkiv region is one of the most polluted by explosive objects. More than 570,000 ha need to be surveyed for mines. Representatives of the State Emergency Service constantly remind that it is worth walking only on familiar and proven routes. If possible, use only paved roads, avoid walking in squares, parks, and fields.
People will not walk in the woods, but disoriented cats and dogs constantly poke their noses at forbidden addresses. And how to convey to them the information that their weight is quite enough for detonation?
There are special organizations for this. Here, for example, is a hotel for dogs in the village of Bezlyudivka. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russia, they have expanded the directions and geography of work. Despite the danger, volunteers rescue frightened, injured, exhausted animals and place them in the adoption center. Because the majority of pets are elderly, antisocial and sick animals that need rehabilitation.
If you remember, the members of the youth initiative group Rotaract club "Kharkiv Shpak" are responsible for helping animals. And we very much appreciate the participation of other volunteers of Rotary HUB. Yes, thanks to the "Peaceful Sky" foundation and the House of Hope. Animal rescue. Help for Kharkiv animals, who donated bags of dog food, our benefactors delivered help to the Bezlyudivsky shelter.
Extermination of animal and plant life is an absolutely purposeful task of Russia. We do not allow ecocide! Genocide is unacceptable!
