War is war, but you - remain yourself!

In the first days of the war, the main image of Kharkiv was women with children, carrying suitcases and backpacks, who urgently left the city.

Meanwhile, fierce fighting continued on the northeastern outskirts of the city. Cannonade could be heard not only from artillery, but also from small arms. Men who knew how to shoot, for the defense of the first capital, were united in TRO battalions. It was reported about the penetration of sabotage and intelligence groups. For a moment, the reinforced concrete city plunged into chaos: shot military trucks, cars, and elsewhere corpses of the dead.

We saw the battles for Kharkiv with our own eyes. Under our windows, doctors, drivers, financiers, hairdressers, programmers, entrepreneurs - together they drove out Russian strangers.

Kharkiv was defended by the people of Kharkiv.

A year has passed. Currently, there are half as many people in the city as by February 24, 2022, and business activity has increased by more than 60% (data from the European Business Association). Volunteers of Rotary HUB know first hand what it means to lose business due to war. However, we WANT to DEVELOP exclusively in KHARKIV, so we grit our teeth and CONTINUE TRYING!

And here is a live example: at the beginning of the month, Valentina Filippenko, Natalya Ivashchenko and Valentin Nol opened three laundries under the Happy Laundry franchise.

The goal: to wash the things of Kharkiv residents and boost the city's economy.
