There was no news from these children!

In Donbas, for the past 3 months, Russia has been trying to break through the first line of Ukrainian defense and reach Kostiantynivka, Sloviansk and Kramatorsk. Experts say that the locals, who voluntarily refused to evacuate, play the lottery every day: whether or not a Russian missile will kill them.

According to the national police, there are about half a million such "players" in Donetsk region, among whom there are children. And one question arises: can a schoolboy think about something else when dad is fighting, mom is watching, grandpa is thinking, grandma is counting?

Thousands of children cannot switch because the war cannot end for 13 months. So, we adults, if we are not able to evacuate, then we must overcome the "fixation" of our boys and girls, recreate their usual, peaceful way of life, which included games, face-to-face communication with peers, active leisure, performances and gifts just like that.

We started with the last one: concerts and presentations.

This week, the actors of the V. Afanasyev Kharkiv Puppet Theater performed the play "Princesses are different" for the children of the Oasis family entertainment center and the Blaga Vist church in Kramatorsk. Our colleagues - the volunteer community of the L.OB hub and the Dobrochynec took part in this project. Well, where there are partners, there are Rotary volunteers. The Rotary HUB team handed over sweet sets to young spectators: candies, cookies, marmalade, chocolate produced by Roshen.

We will be next to little hearts. To smile, not to be afraid, to compete with the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Glory to Ukraine!
