Oak trees were planted yesterday!

Foresters always have a lot of work in the spring. Therefore, yesterday our clubmate Maksym Shablo, as well as members of the Rotary club Kharkiv and Rotary Club "Kharkiv International" took part in a social and ecological campaign aimed at greening Western Ukraine. The meeting was organized by representatives of the Rotary Committee on Environmental Protection.

With this project, the Rotarians wanted to:
- draw attention to the issues of ecology and conservation of natural resources in the conditions of war
- to green urban areas and restore forest areas
- unite representatives of Western and Eastern Rotary clubs

So, Maksym and the "Slobozhan team" were in Novoyavorivsk, 20 km from Lviv, where they planted 2,000 oak trees side by side with the native Hutsuls. In particular, together with members of the RC Lviv-Leopolis club.

And they are real eco-heroes, because the weather was so-so.

There are no "Easterners" and "Westerners". We all live in Ukraine and have something that unites us and distinguishes us from our abnormal neighbor: as long as the Russians carry missile waste, Ukrainians care about life.

And life always wins. Glory to Ukraine!
