Dignity is the only synonym for the word disability!

"The dignified life of people with disabilities side by side with other fellow citizens is our test of civilization. After all, society's attitude towards people with disabilities is a mirror in which our true face is reflected."

These words belong to the former minister of social policy Maryna Lazebnia. Back in 2021, she outlined 5 directions of state policy in the field of protection and support of people with disabilities:

1) simplification and clarity of disability determination procedures, their objectification;
2) material support;
3) availability and comfort of services;
4) provision of medical and rehabilitation services;
5) employment of people with disabilities.

2 years have passed. Due to the full-scale war, the chosen steps are difficult to take. But the government does not give up. Thanks to charitable funds, help is provided on time!

The team of volunteers of Rotary HUB, together with Finnish donors, continues to issue disabled equipment to those in need. Another wheelchair and a toilet chair were given to a grandmother from Kharkiv.
