War reduces access to basic needs such as heat, water and hygiene. This creates problems in caring for the cleanliness of one's own body, as well as that of a small child. One minor in times of crisis needs about 7.5 liters of water per day, provided that the child is mostly not in a shelter, but in an apartment/house.
And how much hygiene products do you need to take care of your child for the next 24 hours?
The number of items increases with the baby, but they start completely with: diapers, wet and dry wipes, disposable diapers, hand soap, shower gel, hair shampoo. As soon as teeth appear, a toothbrush and toothpaste become relevant.
We know firsthand that in wartime it is very difficult and very expensive to find all this. That is why the team of humanitarian Rotary HUB helps parents keep their baby clean.
For this purpose, a HUMANITARIAN DEPARTMENT FOR CHILDRENS of Kharkiv Oblast was located on its territory, which is managed by Olya to this day. Every day, it receives, sorts and issues children's humanitarian aid through verified volunteers.
