The fact is that they do not have a home!

Fence, vegetable garden, garden and household. The houses of these people burned down from Russian rockets. There was no point in staying in his half-broken village. It was necessary to find strength, go to the nearest community and ask for temporary shelter. For the majority of elderly people, as well as people with disabilities or chronic and orphan diseases, the freed but mutilated Izyum became a place to spend the winter.

As of today, approximately 21 thousand people live in the city, before the war there were 46 thousand residents. Markets and small, local entrepreneurs are working. but chain grocery supermarkets did not resume operations. Considering this, the prices of products in Izyum are quite high. Regarding heating, 90 apartment buildings now have centralized heating (before the war there were 245). But houses on the outskirts of the city were and are still without heat.

Rotary HUB team established contact with such people. Through the volunteer Inesa Maznitsa, the house owners and their IDP roommates were handed over a stove - a TERMIT TT pyrolysis stove, which is small in size but capable of heating up to 45 sq.m. rooms. It is characterized by a long burning time of up to three hours and has a place for cooking and drying shoes.

We purchased these miracle stoves with grant money selected by our teammate Iryna Ivanova. We are proud that Ira wrote and successfully defended the project "Heating households in de-occupied villages of Kharkiv region" as part of the competition from the Alliance for Public Health.

We help because we remember that every internally displaced person deserves to live in humane conditions!
