We did not spare their own blood, because we wanted Ukrainians to be healthy!

11 months ago, blood donation became another line of Ukrainian defense. According to the latest estimates, thanks to the activity of people at the beginning of the invasion, on average, donors in Ukraine have increased by 60%. But the experience of all the months of the war showed that there is a significant shortage of so-called reserve donors.

In general, today there should be 2 million reserve donors in the blood donor base in Ukraine in order to meet the needs of both the military and civilians. Currently, they officially number about 100,000.

Only we ourselves can change the situation. Therefore, together with the friendly Rotary club "Kharkiv Nadiya" they gave the green light to the "donor program".

Yesterday was the "Blood Donor Day" campaign #RotarySavesLife. More than 40 men and women from Kharkiv took part, the vast majority of whom are members of our club Rotary Club Kharkiv "New Level" and the women's satellite club Rotary Satellite Club Kharkiv "New Level Universe". Some of "ours" got into the photos, received a gingerbread and a participant's certificate: Marina, Valentin, Anton.

And because there were a lot of "ours", we won in the "Generous Donor" nomination and received a set of red wine to restore blood circulation from the project's partner - the All-Ukrainian chain of wine salons InVino and the founder of the InVino brand Nina Lebedeva.

We would like to thank the fellow members of the Rotary club Nadiya and personally the president, Yulia Pavichenko, for the opportunity to be called donors!
