Being mobile means staying alive!

For some Kharkiv residents, these are not just words. Limited in opportunities due to age, health, genetic predisposition, women and men spend most of their lives adapting to being. What for others is a familiar rhythm, for them - a victory over themselves. Going outside, visiting a store, returning to one's own home without hindrance - these are all stages.

For 339 days, they are forced to spend one more day - moving to a bomb shelter.

Unfortunately, after the large-scale invasion, the number of people with disabilities increased. We are saddened, but we do not ignore the increase in the number of people who use wheelchairs, crutches and walkers. No matter how many such men, women, children there are - everyone deserves to be treated with dignity. A comfortable life deserves to be lived.

So that words do not remain just words, Balaka Ihor - the president of the Rotary Club Kharkiv Rotary Club "Kharkiv-City" agreed on a "convoy of aid".

And although 2 trucks from the city of Geldern (located on the border of Germany and the Netherlands) were unloaded back in December, their contents, in particular pallets with disabled equipment, are still being distributed. Because there are too many needy people.

For example, old women who live in frontline villages at their peril and risk. We gave them a walker equipped with a seat. This is an advantage, because if they have to go to the shelter, and there is no chair, they will have a place to sit.
