From our charity shelves, we gave some crutches to the hospital!

And in the recent humanitarian cargo from Rotary HUB there were walkers, wheelchairs, antiseptics, dressing material, masks, rubber gloves, personal hygiene products and about 10 boxes of strategic products!

What prompted us to this action of mercy?

After the end of the war, Ukraine will have to rebuild everything: from the infrastructure of individual villages and cities to the general economy. One of the important issues here will be the integration into society of veterans, in particular those who have suffered serious injuries.

Almost nothing is known about the losses of the Ukrainian army during these 354 days of war (for obvious reasons). However, once in an interview with The Wall Street Journal, our President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the Ukrainian army has about 250 wounded every day, but emphasized that this is significantly less than it was in the spring and summer of 2022 - thanks to the new, more powerful and more accurate arms of Western partners.

But imagine: 250 crippled Cossacks per day = 1750 people. per week = 52,500 people. per month... This is one of the scariest calculations we've ever done.

Unfortunately, it cannot be avoided that Ukrainian defenders will be treated for months or even years from the injury and its consequences. And our duty, as volunteers, is to guarantee the soldiers humane rehabilitation!

The Rotary HUB team sincerely thanks all its donors who provided such invaluable help!
