Military seniors received hygiene kits!

On the front line, the question of hygiene is becoming a rub. Regular activities and staying in places with extreme conditions do not provide opportunities for full self-care. Therefore, Ukrainian soldiers in the trenches are more prone to infections transmitted through unwashed hands or spoiled food: dysentery, salmonellosis, cholera.

Despite the fact that the National Bank of Ukraine transfers billions of UAH to the humanitarian support of the army (for example, in 2022 the amount reached 22.3 billion UAH), our soldiers receive the main support from the people. And this week, as volunteers, we covered hygiene needs.

For the fighters of the KRAKEN separate reconnaissance and sabotage unit, the Rotary HUB team collected a soap and tissue kit, namely hand and face cream (from frostbite), razors with a moisturizing strip, soap, toothpastes and brushes, wound-healing foot ointment, wet wipes (100 pcs) and antiseptics.

We purchased the hygiene products with grant funds received from District 2232 of Rotary in Ukraine - the national Rotary association that supports the activities of Rotary clubs in Ukraine, that is, it finances the projects of intra-club humanitarian HUBs.

Thanks to the Rotary community, personal hygiene is a solved topic.
