Due to the full-scale invasion of Russia, 670,000+ residents of Kharkiv Oblast alone became displaced. At least 100,000 people moved to Kharkiv and the surrounding areas. This is what Mayor Igor Terekhov says. Kyiv was convinced of this.
Winter is still in the yard, and there are many injured people. With this in mind, Rotary HUB is scaling up its charity project: "In a difficult hour, let's warm Ukraine!"
Goal: prevention of hypothermia of Kharkiv residents by equipping unequipped and unsuitable houses with blankets. This week, our volunteer Olena Linytska gives blankets to civilians who are left to live in their poorly heated house.
The blankets are sewn by us from strong and dense raincoat with "anti-moisture" impregnation on one side, fleece on the other and contain optimal heat-insulating hypoallergenic filler. Funds for the purchase of high-quality materials were received from Rotarians from the Arnprior Rotary Club of Canada.
We are very grateful to everyone for the financial support of the seasonal project!
