For a Rotarian, as well as for every Ukrainian, being abroad during a war means BECOME AN ANTI-WAR SPEAKER who seeks or creates platforms for public speaking, APPEALS TO THE LOCALS with short, clear and understandable MESSAGES about NATIONS COMING TOGETHER for a CEASE OF FIRE in UKRAINE!

Viktoria Pogodaeva - a member of the Rotary Club Kharkiv "New Level" together with her children found temporary care in Vilnius (Lithuania). While her son and daughter are at school, Vika embroiders patriotic patterns on T-shirts and sells clothes at charity fairs and open evenings.

BUT from time to time, Vika "comes out to people" with a different purpose. We call this enculturation. And the Lithuanian Rotarians from the Lituanica International Rotary Club - Mrs. Aušra, Mrs. Ilona and Mrs. Migle with their daughter help her in this.

The girls preferred the Lithuanian art of theater dance. They have been to the National Opera and Ballet Theater twice. The first time was at the performance of "Carmen", the second time was at "The Bayaderka". The specialty of this theater is hot chocolate during intermissions, the recipe of which has not changed for 60 years.

So, we are proud of our Viktoria, who performs both Ukrainian and Lithuanian Rotary service!
