Happy B-Day, Rotary International!

For 118 years, Rotary has been bringing people together to solve today's problems.

It all started with the vision of one man - Paul Harris. A Chicago attorney founded the Rotary Club of Chicago in 1905 to exchange ideas and build influential, friendly relationships. He saw in Rotary the power of ethical leadership, civic service, and peace—ideals that he promoted throughout his life.

Over 118 years, about 1.4 million people have become Rotarians in more than 46,000 Rotary clubs in 200+ countries around the world.

Rotary is a community in which one learns to find a balance between the natural desire to benefit oneself and the awareness of one's duty to help others.

The main motto: "Service above self". There is also an auxiliary: "He who serves best wins the most."
