There is a vicious war going on, but we still give out wheelchairs!

Thus, despite the threats, volunteers of Rotary HUB continue their charitable work and, together with partners, try to provide Kharkiv citizens of special categories with the necessary equipment in accordance with the recommendations of the World Health Organization.

We were informed about the need of this family by the representatives of BF Heart Sloboda. They contact the elders of the villages of the Zolochiv territorial community and form lists with specific requests.

So, the parents were looking for a wheelchair for their son Dmytro. This is an attribute of the everyday life of all people with disabilities, which cannot be replaced. There are different qualifications for them, but children's chairs have always been considered a separate type. They are subject to more stringent quality requirements than conventional devices for people with disabilities. They should be ergonomic, comfortable and age-appropriate.

Given Dmytro's diagnosis, we found a multi-functional wheelchair that provides the necessary safety measures. For example, the design and equipment will help support the body in a sitting position. Instead, additional means (in particular, a headrest, side supports, safety belt) adjust the physiologically correct position, which will ensure free blood circulation, and therefore, the normal functioning of organs.
