The Opora project was reported on TV yesterday!

In April 2022, thanks to the support of the Rotarians of our Rotary Club Kharkiv "New Level", mobile teams of HEALTHY BODY rehabilitators started working in Kharkiv region. This is the working name of the "Support" project, in the framework of which masseurs, rehabilitators, traumatologists, and physical therapists go to the front line and provide military assistance on the spot.

Why?

Because every second army soldier has problems with his spine, lower back, and neck due to wearing 20+ kg of body armor around the clock. Military men suffer from hernias and protrusions. In addition, unfortunately, the number of soldiers who lose limbs in war is increasing every day.

According to the leaders of the project, Oleg Shevtsov - an officer of the Kharkiv Defense Headquarters and a friend of our New Level club, as well as Serhiy Ivanov - a volunteer of the Rotary HUB and a massage therapist by profession, ‼️2500 SESSIONS HAVE ALREADY BEEN HELD IN KHARKIV Oblast‼️

Currently, the boys are preparing to "raise" soldiers in the Bakhmut direction. At the same time, they are considering the possibility of introducing the position of a rehabilitation specialist in each military brigade, so as not to waste time on the road and provide round-the-clock assistance.

In turn, we, members of the Rotary Club Kharkiv "New Level", contribute to the development of the project in every possible way. In particular, we recruit medical doctors. materials and small equipment. Also, partners from Finland (Lahti-Wesijärvi Rotaryklubi club, Rotary 1390 Finland and Rotary 9940 New Zealand districts) donated a minivan - but if you have an extra one, the HEALTHY BODY rehabilitators need more!
