For the second year in a row, August 23, the Day of the City of Kharkiv and the National Flag of Ukraine, we meet in conditions of war and destruction. About a quarter of the residents of the first capital were forced to move to other regions or go abroad.

From the first day of the Russian invasion, Kharkiv has been hit by rockets. Russia destroys infrastructure and cultural monuments, threatens to take over our villages and towns.

BUT the city continues to hold the defense. The people of the indomitable city continue to hold the defense!

For us, the national flag is part of our DNA. And today, wherever they see it, they know that Ukraine was, is, and will be independent. Like Kharkiv, a hero city that is 369 years old today.
