Broken windows - broken souls!
Broken windows - broken souls!
On February 24, 2022, the war began, and on March 3 of the same year, the invaders removed the Ukrainian flag and occupied Balaklia, southeast of Kharkiv.
For more than six months, there was a base for the enemy's military equipment, with the help of which the "Buryatу savages" took out the doors of shops, warehouses and banks, and ripped out ATMs from the walls. Some of them, it seems, have never even seen high-rise buildings in their lives. They marveled at everything - the stoves in the kitchens, the equipment in the house, even the toilets. And, of course, everything was taken out of the apartments.
But nothing ends as quickly and ingloriously as "forever."
On September 8, 2022, the Ukrainian military returned Balaklia. And the volunteers of Kharkiv Dobrobat immediately began to recreate the idyll.
In the first photo, you can see a creepy picture. This is the yard of a family-type house in which a mother and 20 children lived. During the de-occupation, there was a projectile that completely destroyed the farm structure and partially damaged the three-story building opposite, in which the occupiers lived brazenly for 6+ months.
It is not known how much it would be so scary, but as always, the leadership of the Dobrobat movement and partners of Run Ukraine (the organizer of the largest charity running events in Ukraine) expressed their desire to help financially this family from Balaklia.
Therefore, the rest of the photos show the results of the work of the volunteers of the Kharkiv Dobrobat branch, led by the chief foreman - Serhiy Sydorov.
In 1 month, the guys: replaced double-glazed windows (4 pcs), repaired armored doors (2 pcs), overhauled the gas column, heating boiler and automation, installed new faucets (3 pcs) and hoses (4 pcs), repaired the circular pump, replaced 11 heating batteries, replaced 10 m of water pipes and 20 m of heating pipes, replaced glass in interior doors (9 pieces), etc. Currently, the family has already moved into a renovated house.
Our destroyed cities, villages, quarters, avenues, streets are a common pain. Since we are close, we must help everyone who is suffering left and right!
