Do you remember how we talked about guest houses in Germany? About those gathered by our president Pavlo Filippenko, his wife Valentina, volunteer Iryna, deputy Kharkiv regional council - Mr. Serhiy and deputy head of Krasnograd OTG - Ms. Natalya Zinchenko.
This unsurpassed five visited the district of Freiburg - the city of Fillingen-Schwenningen, i.e. they traveled 2490 km in their own cars for personal communication with representatives of local authorities and Rotary clubs.
And about how all this happened, 2 journalistic stories appeared in the German newspaper.
Here they write about how our delegation was at the reception of the mayor of the city of Fillingen-Schwenningen and discussed the possibility of establishing as close relations as possible with Kharkiv, that is, officially recognizing each other as sister cities. This idea, as they say, "got" the Germans, and they promised to organize an economic and business forum so that Kharkiv residents could come and present their businesses.
Separately, a column was published about how our boys and girls managed to implement a very significant project - to replenish the funds of the libraries of Fillingen-Schweningen and Freiburg with children's books written in Ukrainian. We handed over 300 kg of copies of the works of domestic writers! This became possible thanks to the Ukrainian children campaign - a Ukrainian book, which is implemented with the support of the State Committee for Television and Radio Broadcasting of Ukraine.
You can also read here that the city mayor was very interested in learning more about the current situation at the front. And for this, Pavlo left shell casings from under Bakhmut at the city hall.
We Ukrainians are very, very grateful for the media attention and public support for the Germans!
