This is the twenty-second gratitude speech for the "Finnish Stove" project!
We believe it's never too late to say thank you. That's why we want to remember how this winter it was warm at the front and in the rear thanks to the action of our charitable resistance.
"Finnish Stove" is a project of the Rotary HUB, in particular Rotary Club Kharkiv "New Level" and President Pavlo Filippenko, as well as Rotary Club Kharkiv and Past-President Jozef Bronevsky, which was launched in January by Mr. Tapio - the director of the non-profit association Omri ry - Pro Ukraine.
And when we received a batch of 648 peasants in February, we immediately began to select volunteers at the local level for the correct distribution of aid. This is where the "Rotarian's Code of Honor" came in handy. Before choosing, you had to answer a short question:
Does everyone benefit from this? (English "will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned")
But no matter how many times we answered, we won every time. For example, thanks to the cooperation with the volunteer group "Unbreakable" under the Public Organization "Novovodolazh youth club "Jura", both civilians and military were in the plus.
Thanks to "indomitable volunteers", both at the front and in weakly heated houses, a Finnish stove appeared, which is characterized by long burning (up to three hours) and has a place for cooking/drying shoes. Instructions + matches + dry alcohol for kindling were given along with the stove.
There is a lot of work behind any act of caring. And we are happy to share the load with decent people! Glory to Ukraine!
