Peace begins with our bag!

From the contents of a backpack or other shoulder bag with which we go out in the morning and return home in the evening.

Thanks to Samaritan's Purse - a non-denominational Christian organization, KHARKIVIANS bring PEACEFUL FOOD to their homes for at least 5 MONTHS. Because that's how long the Rotary HUB works with the Samaritans as part of the food agreement!

The last cargo for the needs of HUB is 20 tons of FOOD. Namely: wheat and barley groats, canned beans, table salt, as well as corned pasta, sunflower oil, stew.

And today, on the International and Ukrainian Day of Peace, our volunteers Ruslan Aleshko and Maryna Mazyarkina were especially pleased to hand out food packages.

An interesting fact about this day: the establishment of the International Day of Peace was not related to any specific war. The idea of the holiday belonged to two countries - Great Britain and Costa Rica, which have not had their own regular army since 1948.

So, now the peaceful, healthy WORLD must STAND NEAR Ukraine, to collectively STOP WAR, painful human losses, economic losses. And we appreciate those who have already done it! Samaritan's Purse, thank you for being with us!
