Charles III is a Rotarian!
Rotary International is the oldest and most influential international association of business people. People who fully understand the idea of "Service in spite of oneself" are invited to join Rotary clubs.
For the last 3 days, the news about the death of the Queen of Great Britain, Elizabeth II, has not subsided in the infofield. 2022, please stop!
This is a big loss and we mourn with the United Kingdom. However, history continues and in a few hours ROYAL AUTHORITY will pass to the worthy throne of a Rotary man - Charles Philip Arthur George Windsor, Prince of Wales and Earl of Chester, Duke of Edinburgh, Duke of Cornwall, Duke of Rosesea.
Top 7 facts about the new king have been prepared:
1. He is an honorary member of the Rotary Club of Banchory-Ternan
2. In 2005, Charles celebrated 100 years of Rotary at Westonbirt Arboretum, where he single-handedly planted a 100-year-old maple tree.
3. At a reception in India in 2013, Charles acknowledged Rotary's tremendous efforts to eradicate polio in the country and called for the same to be done worldwide.
4. A characteristic feature of the new king is frugality. This is very useful at a time when many Britons believe that too much money is spent on maintaining the royal family. For example, for the wedding of his son Prince Harry, he wore a suit that he had worn for about 30 years.
5. According to the observation of the court staff, Charles likes to communicate with "commoners", which always caused irritation at the court.
6. He is the first king who wrote... a book, namely - children's fairy tales called "Grandfather from Lognagar".
7. And our favorite - in 1981, the Ukrainian ensemble "Hoverla" performed in the English city of Derby. Apparently, the dancers invited Charles III into the circle to perform several folk elements together.
We are convinced that Great Britain is in royal hands on the one hand, but in simple terms - in good, Rotary hands!
