At the seminar in Lviv!

Weekdays for service, and weekends for study. And this week, members of the Rotary Club Kharkiv "New Level" recalled how their lives looked before February 24. More precisely, they helped us to remember - the team was invited to the seminar of Rotary funds and foundations in the city of Lviv.

The topic of the meeting: what funds exist in the Rotary movement, how and by whom they are sponsored, how the funds accumulated from all 45,000 Rotary clubs of the world are distributed. A separate block considered the specifics of attracting finances to support Ukrainians.

On the last one, we want to stop and tell how the international Rotary community helps Ukraine.

Some believe that Rotary has as much power for good as the United Nations. Therefore, it is not surprising that everyone is incredibly worried about the war that has been going on in our house for more than 8 months. Part of the donations made by caring planet Earth goes to the Rotary Disaster Response Fund. And in the last 249 days, Ukrainian clubs received 15.5 million dollars.

Now let's talk about the principle of distribution of this money, so that you know that the Rotarians have everything thought out and as clean as possible. To receive funding at the highest level - from Rotary International - an interested club must write a project and defend it within the framework of the grant program. Usually, we are talking about the purchase of basic necessities: water, food, medicine, clothes. Also, participating clubs must prove that they closely cooperate with local authorities and activists "on the ground". In this way, they will ensure that the funding will meet the specific needs of the community and precisely reach those in need.

Representatives of many Ukrainian clubs came to this training. But we showed a real "new level" - there were 24 members (in general, 5-7 people are enough from the club).

And finally. All of us are directly or indirectly connected with private business, and therefore, after the Rotary seminar, we attended a meeting of entrepreneurs, where we shared our own experience of working under martial law.
