"These people benefit society, just like my mother. So I decided to give them a chance and participate"
Chehab Elavar declared and came into the world of Rotary - a unique man who built himself from 0 to later become a multi-millionaire and donate up to 4 million dollars to charity.
He grew up in a large family (6 children). The civil war in Lebanon (1975-1990), where Chehab is from, greatly affected the whole family. But the parents managed to find salvation for their eldest son, borrow money and send it to the United States.
Here, as a student, he joined the San Bernardino Sunset Rotary Club. Currently, Chehab is maximally involved in the situation in Ukraine, especially in fundraising. And this weekend I CAME TO KYIV to speak at the Training Seminar organized by Rotary in Ukraine and WE MET.
We talked for 1.5 hours on the topic of participation in global grant programs and TOGETHER WROTE THE FORECAST OF THE GLOBAL GRANT regarding the restoration of one of the destroyed schools in Kharkiv. What's more, Chehab immediately MADE A DONATION to our future project.
Thanks to Rotary, which unites such clean people! We are proud to know Chehab, who proved that no military conflict will stop his desire to help others!
