Warm help in cold conditions!
Warm help in cold conditions!
Due to the full-scale invasion, 670,000+ residents of Kharkiv Oblast alone became displaced. At least 100,000 people moved to Kharkiv and the surrounding areas. To Kharkiv, where 3,122 high-rise buildings and 5,240 private houses were destroyed, where 150,000+ people lost their homes. This is what Mayor Igor Terekhov says. Kyiv was convinced of this in the person of the deputy head of the Office of the President, Kyrylo Tymoshenko.
The cold AUTUMN has almost CHANGED into a frosty WINTER. And that's why Rotary HAB is reaping the first fruits of its charity project: "In a difficult hour, let's warm Ukraine!". In October, we RESTORED BLANKET PRODUCTION, which was initiated back in March.
The goal is to prevent hypothermia of Kharkiv residents due to equipping unequipped and unsuitable houses with blankets for the change of season, as well as heating the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the battlefield. Today, our President Pavlo Filippenko handed over FIVE BLANKETS to insulate the civilians who were left to live in their dilapidated house.
The products are made of strong and dense raincoat with "anti-moisture" impregnation on one side, fleece on the other and contain optimal heat-insulating hypoallergenic filler. Funding for the purchase of high-quality materials was received from the Rotary Disaster Response Fund. On the initiative of the Rotary Club of Evergreen, Colorado and the entire district 5450 (Colorado, 58 clubs).
We are very grateful to the Rotary family for the financial support of the seasonal project! We will hibernate in warmth, and in the spring we will celebrate the victory!
