The minimum norm for an adult is a temperature of +18°C. This is the lowest permissible level during the autumn-winter season. In the Kharkiv region, in particular, in houses in the village of Stary Saltiv, the room temperature is 2 times lower. And when the volunteers of the Dobrobat battalion came to rebuild the damaged house, in addition to slate slabs, they counted ants on their own bodies.

The lack of heating is the handiwork of the Russian army, which on November 15, during the all-Ukrainian shelling, also damaged the energy infrastructure of the Chuguyiv district, which includes the Stary Saltiv community.

Well, while all the services of the city are working on eliminating the consequences of the terrorist attack, the Rotary HUB is working on an actual project: "In a difficult hour, we will warm Ukraine!". In October, we RESTORED BLANKET PRODUCTION, which was started back in March.

We engaged a team of professional seamstresses who made the optimal pattern and determined the list of materials: dense raincoat with "anti-moisture" impregnation, soft fleece and optimal heat-insulating hypoallergenic filler. MONEY from the Rotary Disaster Response Fund, which was allocated with the assistance of the Rotary Club of Evergreen, Colorado and the entire district 5450 (Colorado, 58 clubs), helped us to buy raw materials and put production on the line.

Now blankets measuring 200 x 140 cm warm the volunteers. But after the completion of the work on the roof, the owners will return to the house and will be sheltered not only from snow, but also from damp indoor conditions.
