About the role of Switzerland in the charitable history of Rotary.

The Ukrainian community in Switzerland provides charitable assistance to low-income families, children, pensioners, injured citizens in war zones, military personnel, as well as Ukrainian medical institutions on an ongoing basis. And our Rotary HUB (Rotary Club Kharkiv "New Level", Rotary club Kharkiv, Rotary Club Kharkov Mriya, Kharkiv Rotary Club "Kharkiv-City") has the honor of cooperating with the branches of Ukrainians from the city of Zurich.

Kviten Association is a private Swiss charitable association focused on solving the humanitarian needs of Ukrainians. In just 7 months of collective volunteering, Kviten Association delivered more than 35 tons of food, water, hospital supplies, medicines, equipment, clothes and other strategically important goods to Ukraine. And we IN KHARKIV REMEMBER the 2.5 kg chocolate slabs and berry toppings that Rotary volunteers gave out in the summer.

And our other friends call themselves Swiss Aid to Ukraine SA2U. It is also a non-profit association that arose due to the acuteness of the current humanitarian crisis in Ukraine. Their primary goal is to centralize and expand efforts by enabling targeted sourcing, focused storage, and site-to-site transportation. KHARKIV APPRECIATES medicines, in particular for diabetics, which are still difficult to find.

And so, in October-November, KHARKIV AGAIN ACCEPTS mercy from the Swiss. It was money - €7,000, which the HUB team turned into food - Atlantic sardines in oil. For 14+ days, we pack canned goods into food kits that we transport to the front, to de-occupied villages, as well as to places of temporary shelter for IDPs.
