Ok, and where to put the rest?
Ok, and where to put the rest?
Our volunteer Kateryna Hrytoshkina asked herself, holding dog food in her hands. Together with her husband Oleksandr, she fulfilled her duty - fed people and animals in the de-occupied communities of the Kupyansk district. But to return to Kharkiv with the remains of a humanitarian woman is somehow not volunteering in wartime.
Therefore, at the entrance to the city, Katya and Sasha made a stop at the shelter/kennel in the village of Velyka Danylivka. 70 DOGS whose happy lives were interrupted by the war are now being cared for here. Most dogs are former pets whose owners have moved away or died. Afraid of the explosions, the tailed ones fled the world before their eyes and could not return home. Therefore, they got to the shelter very exhausted. Now the keepers cannot let them out into the street, because they are not trained to survive in difficult, "wild" conditions.
But the worst thing is that HALF OF THE DOGS WILL NOT FIND THEIR OWNERS. Employees of the shelter say that with the approach of winter, people began to take animals home less often. The main reason is that the Russians are brutally shelling the objects of critical infrastructure and people are thinking how to survive the winter, they are afraid that they will have to leave the city again. In such conditions, few people dare to take in a four-legged friend.
On behalf of Polina Kolodochko - the leader of the Rotaract club "Kharkiv Shpak", who bought this feed with grant funds, THANK YOU to Kateryna and Oleksandr for bringing the started work to an absolute end!
We remember that a dog hears who feeds it!
