Let's not repeat the famine!

Every year, the fourth Saturday of November is a day of great sadness and sorrow for all Ukrainians. The most tragic and terrible in terms of consequences was the mass famine of 1932-1933. It is known that during this period, more than 7 million people died from the famine, artificially and systematically introduced into life by the top of the Soviet government.

Why Ukraine?

The national liberation movement, the independent peasantry, the intelligentsia, rooted in European values, did not accept either the power of the communists or their policies. The opposition was so strong that the top of the Soviet government made a decision: "Destroy!". To destroy a political nation that sought freedom and independence from a totalitarian regime. And they decided to destroy with hunger...

90 years have passed. We see that history is cyclical. But there will be no repetition! We identify ourselves with our ancestors, pay tribute to the victims of the femine and work to prevent a recurrence! Let's not make a mistake! Not allowed!

This month, Rotary HUB worked closely with Lviv volunteers - the Ukrainian Educational Platform charity organization. We would like to inform you that all 600 food and 150 hygiene kits that we received were successfully distributed to the residents of Kharkiv: IDPs (from Izyum, Kupyansk, Rusky Tyshki, etc.), disabled people, large families, pensioners - all those in need.

We would like to thank the team of the Ukrainian Educational Platform and personally the founder Maryana Kashchak for your timely support!
