The city of Kupyansk. 50 kilometers to the Russian border.

It was under occupation for 6 months. Military equipment was driven through the city. Passports of citizens of the Russian Federation were issued here. Russian textbooks for Ukrainian schoolchildren were unloaded here. Kupyansk experienced all the charms of the Russian peace: from the distribution of Russian humanitarian aid to the kidnapping and torture of pro-Ukrainian residents.

Now the city borders the front line: on one side - 17 km, on the other - 32 km. This is a short distance for the enemy's MLRS, and therefore Kupyansk is being hunted with particular hatred, the Russians are trying to play back, taking revenge for being kicked out. BUT the Ukrainian authorities have already returned to the city, the law enforcement officers are documenting the crimes of the Russians and arresting collaborators, and the DOBROBAT VOLUNTEERS ARE PREPARING FOR REBUILDING.

Last week, the founder of the Dobrobat movement - Rostyslav Smirnov, as well as the head of the Kharkiv branch of Dobrobat Pavlo Filippenko VISIT KUPIANSK. The boys met Andriy Besedin, the head of the Kupyansk military administration, who showed the state of the infrastructure and the streets, and told what the local residents needed.

The result: there are many active men in the community who are determined to recover. Our Pavlo, as the leader of the battalion in the Kharkiv region, established contact with the responsible persons and presented the men with a chainsaw and several construction perforators as a sign of future cooperation. In the near future, we expect the receipt of materials from charitable funds and together we will proceed to the reconstruction of Kupyansk.
