We read labels and pack pills!

Assistance with medicines is a priority area for Rotary HUB. The war began in winter, when there was a need for antiviral drugs and antibiotics. Spring has come - the demand for anti-allergy drugs has increased. Summer has come and ointments against fungus, ringworm, itching, as well as creams against sunburn have become relevant. And now autumn is on the calendar, winter is already outside the window, and people again need immunostimulating, antiviral drugs.

But we also remember a number of tablets and drops that Kharkiv residents use regardless of the season, including sugar-lowering, cardio- and general strengthening, pain-relieving drugs, as well as first-aid products that save the defenders of the Slobozhan Front.

We find all this, but not everything is so simple. When pallets with medical aid arrive at the HUB, our task is to READ ALL THE INSTRUCTIONS and PACKAGE the medicines into GROUPS. During these 269 days, probably all Rotarians became a little bit of pharmacists. But still not absolutes. And we have no chance of making a mistake. Therefore, we require additional control from a professional.

We feel confident because we are volunteering together with a nurse named Iryna. She controls that, for example, the anti-ulcer Calcidose 500 does not accidentally fall into the box with the hypoglycemic Metformin 500. Other girls, in particular Olya, help her in this.

The work is responsible. There is a lot of work, because these are medicines from a 20-ton Romanian truck, that is, from the humanitarian logistics hub in Tulcea (Romania) Tulcea Humanitarian Logistics Hub, Filiala Judeţeană Tulcea a Asociaţiei Comunelor din România, Romulus T. Weatherman Foundation, IsraAID, IsraAID Moldova and Romania, Protection Civile with the participation of the Embassy of Ukraine in Romania and the support, as moderators, of Rotary HUB Izmail, which operates on the basis of the Rotary Club Izmail.
