10 blankets for IDPs!

That is, for people who were forced to change their permanent place of residence, circle of communication. In addition to the basic stress of war and displacement, IDPs face additional everyday problems. In particular, these are issues related to the impossibility of fully heating the room, because everything around is foreign and unfamiliar.

Covering the basic needs of IDPs is the task of local authorities and volunteers. After all, it affects their adaptation to life in a new community and integration into a new environment. The Rotary HUB team is DETERMINED TO WARM IMMIGRANTS BOTH DAY AND NIGHT.

We are doing this as part of the project: "We will warm Ukraine in a difficult hour!" - WE SEW BLANKETS adaptable to war conditions. On one side, the blankets have a raincoat base that protects against moisture, on the other side - on fleece, and inside - heat-insulating hypoallergenic syntapon. Production was started back in March with the aim of equipping unequipped and unsuitable wet rooms/shelters, because ordinary tourist blankets did not fully meet the needs.

Last season, 1,200 blankets were sewn and distributed. Now we need at least 5000 pcs. We were able to share the financial burden with Rotarians from the Rotary Club of Evergreen, Colorado and District 5450 (Colorado, 58 clubs). The Americans raised money from the Rotary Disaster Response Fund.

We want people who have left their homes to feel that they are needed and important, regardless of where they are from and where they live now. ‼ We do not divide into "local" and "non-local" ‼ We give warmth to everyone and do not measure the distance to the native house. They are in Ukraine, that is, at home, and it should be warm at home!
