#Wintering_Together: version-Greece

"Wintering together" is a 10-week marathon of fighting against burnout for volunteers of Rotary HUB, which was invented by the wise heads of our Rotary Club Kharkiv "New Level". They planned many different events, including culinary events.

And while our current president, Pavlo Filippenko, is preparing to put on his chef's cap and apron in Kharkiv, our future president, Ksenia Spiridonova, has already done it in Greece - she underwent ice therapy. No, it's not when you buy and eat delicious food. It is precisely about the process of interaction and joint preparation of dishes.

Our Ksenia and her classmates COOKED UKRAINIAN DISHES for the Greeks, including their Greek language teachers. All of them work in the center of assistance to Ukrainians "Ήλιου" (from Greek - "Sun") and support our compatriots during all 10 months in Greece.

Borscht with sour cream, varenyki, zrazy, draniki and, of course, bread with lard, garlic and dill - a blessing not only for the stomach. Food, in a sense, is an ambassador of goodwill, something that helps people start a dialogue. And if it is Ukrainian cuisine, it heals, unites, strengthens. And this is priceless!

We must remain positive, even in the face of war. Our weapon is 95% news about volunteers' desperation and 5% about their ways to fight burnout. Ksenia's initiative is very appetizing, but one question: how to fall asleep now?
