#Wintering_Together in the cinema room?
As part of the 10-week marathon "Wintering together", which is aimed at combating burnout among volunteers, a movie night was held. We watched the drama "Peaceful Warrior", based on the autobiographical book of the same name.
This film is a vivid illustration of the fact that you and I know everything, but we refuse to understand and accept it. The main character's task is to realize that his strength of spirit is what leads him to true greatness. To do this, he must LET GO of the PERSON HE WAS and, starting from that moment, must begin a new life in which he will value the process itself and accept that his FUTURE IS OUT OF CONTROL.
The story has many parallels with our lives today. Especially for the residents of the frontline cities. Broken dreams and hopes. Physical, gross destruction of resources without which a person has no idea how to move on. And how does the protagonist of the film react? He learns to see the world through peaceful eyes, but these are the eyes of a warrior.
Here are the top 3 conclusions that the volunteers made after watching:
1. You have to live here and now. Do not wait for what will happen after the war. Do not expect that everything will be like before the war. And just live here and now: rejoice, move forward, help yourself and others.
2. In life, we need mentors, they help us achieve results. We can find them, but we have to accept that they are not with us forever.
3. You should do anything for the sake of the process itself, for the sake of pleasure in the process.
We sincerely thank the sponsors of the project "Wintering together" - Iryna Minkovska and Artem Zakharov, who agreed to turn their educational space ME AND MY SCHOOL into a cinema.
