Food ration for someone who lives in a temporary home!

It is very difficult to say to internally displaced people: "We understand you." Teenagers, pensioners, disabled people, representatives of large families - they were "covered" by at least three disturbing waves: occupation of personal property, migration (yes, internal, but the effect is the same), adaptation in a new, atypical environment.

The communities of Kharkiv region, where it is more or less calm, have accepted people and are trying to provide everything necessary. But the lack of jobs, chaotic shelling, disrupted logistics hubs make life unbearable for both locals and visitors. To help STABILIZE and BALANCE DEMAND with SUPPLY, Rotary HUB supports IDPs together with local authorities.

We consider food rations from the UN (World Food Program) to be the best option for assistance. The World Food Program is an organization that works under the United Nations and provides humanitarian aid in the form of food kits in emergency situations. The war in Ukraine is precisely an emergency situation that falls under program parameters.

One box weighs 12.5 kg and consists of: 8 cans of canned meat, 1 bottle of oil, 1 can of canned beans, 6 packs of pasta, 5 bags of flour. A supply of strategic products gets into the hands of those in need thanks to our volunteers. We are proud of the work of 600+ benefactors!

A balanced diet is the key to survival. We will not let the war take away our right to food! Thank you to the UN for trusting the WFP program in Kharkiv to our Rotary team!
