On Boxing Day, we collected 4,000 sweet packages!

December 26 is not only the second day of Christmas, but also the day of gifts! The holiday originated in England and is celebrated every year in countries historically associated with the kingdom, as well as in some other European countries, such as Germany. History shows that on this day wealthy people prepared gifts for their servants. In turn, the mercenaries, returning to their homes for the day off, gave presents to older relatives, and they shared the goodies with their grandchildren or neighbor's children.

It looks like a gift, but the process is completely conscious, because who wants to be happy when there are sobbing children around?

On the eve of New Year's holidays, our Rotary HUB received a 20-ton truck with candies, cookies, chocolate bars from Roshen. We thanked our partners and continued to develop this chain of handshakes, in particular, we launched a Christmas challenge: we invited representatives of 15 volunteer teams to pack sweet gifts for children.

All of them are citizens of Kharkiv of good will, who have been providing assistance in various parts of Kharkiv and the region for 10 months. Each team oversees a specific area/community and also has a narrow specialization. For example, the BF "Adults to Children" is focused on issuing warm clothes, and the NGO "Everything for People" is on products, hygiene products, etc. And all of them, in addition to their projects, DELIVER READY KITS from Rotary HUB - food, water, toys, medicine, etc.
