What to do with a child's desire?

When are the brutal bombings, blackouts and heating going on? How can parents of disabled children fulfill their child's request?

Volunteers are different people. They could fold their hands and answer: "And all wishes cannot be fulfilled anyway." Or maybe - make a list of children's "wants", call volunteer partners and at least try to come up with something.

That's exactly what the girls from the women's club Rotary Satellite Club Kharkiv "New Level Universe" did. First, they launched the "Secret Santa" campaign, in the framework of which each Rotarian promised to fulfill the wish of a child with special needs! And then, they invited the Green Landia public organization, which takes care of families in which a child with a disability is growing up on an ongoing basis.

The children were asked to make a video appeal to St. Nicholas/Santa and tell what exactly they would like to find under the pillow/tree this year. Some children had difficulties, but together with their parents they recorded and sent video letters.

The assistant girls carefully prepared for the holiday. And of course, the children received the gifts they were waiting for. Because the joy of a child is the emotion that pushes to move. And in order to feel it, it is not necessary to be influential or rich, to personify the image of St. Nicholas or Santa. It is enough to have a good heart and a desire to try to do at least something!
