Take a pineapple from us on Honey Savior!
Take a pineapple from us on Honey Savior!
Today, Orthodox believers celebrate the first of the three summer Saviors - Honey Savior or Macovei. This is the folk name of the holiday, where the word "Spas" is derived from "save" or "stock up". It has long been believed that it is from August 14 that you can start full-fledged harvesting of honey for the winter.
The war, or better to say, "Russian orcs" occupied part of the lands, and with them the farms of the residents of the Kharkiv region. Peasants of Vovchanskyi, Izyumskyi, Kupyanskyi, Balakliyskyi directions lost their apiaries. And the rest of the communities of Slobozhanshchyna, although liberated by the defenders of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, suffer from chaotic shelling or remain mined.
Collecting honey is dangerous, so our HUB, thanks to our partners with Khalsa Aid International, suggests STOCKING UP WITH PINEAPPLES.
Khalsa Aid is an international non-governmental organization whose goal is to provide humanitarian aid in areas of natural disasters and civil conflicts around the world. This is already the SECOND cooperation in the last six months, which, in addition to pineapples, consists of canned corn and beans, tomato paste, as well as bags of buckwheat and tea bags.
In honor of the holiday, Artem Chernyaev and Hanna Miroshnyk went through some of the houses and handed out food packages with these delicious products. And tomorrow, the ranks of volunteers will increase from the rest of the Rotary benefactors and together they will cover Kharkiv Oblast with pineapples!
Our team (Rotary Club Kharkiv "New Level", Rotary Club Kharkov Mriya, Rotary club Kharkiv, Kharkiv Rotary Club "Kharkov City") is proud of the new agreement with Khalsa Aid International and constantly volunteers, even on holidays! For the sake of peace in Ukraine!
