Telebridges will not fall under any circumstances!

For 30 years, the month of August for Ukraine and our Kharkiv remained festive, nationalistic, yellow-blue. And our city and country met their thirty-first birthday for the first time surrounded by devastation, empty squares, blown-up bridges.

We have been living in this reality for 6 months. But at the same time, we live in virtuality, in which, by the way, the same 6 months passed with the complete opposite - with complete Ukrainization!

August 23 and 24 - two days. but three holidays: Flag Day, Kharkiv City Day, Independence Day of Ukraine! Due to the threat of increased artillery fire, an increased curfew was introduced. Yes, we could not go out on the streets with a flag, chant "Glory to Ukraine" to the whole area, BUT we could press a button and PARTICIPATE IN THE VIRTUAL FORUM from the respected Rotary in Ukraine.

As a representative of the volunteer movement, our president Pavlo Filippenko took a brave deed - he STAYED on the territory of the HUB in order to "from the scene" PRESENT to the Rotary community from the USA, Canada, Sweden, Germany, Poland, Romania, Great Britain and many other countries ACTIVITY HABU and PROJECT OF SEWING WARM BLANKETS.

In real time, within the Session Zone, Pavel was given a 10-minute speech to convey the main message: "KHARKIV WILL NOT SURRENDER! KHARKIV WILL NOT FALL!".

We are very grateful to our district 2232 for organizing the event, the opportunity to talk about the affairs of Kharkiv Rotarians to compare with the activities of the Rotary clubs of the planet Earth, and also to be with the Rotary International family on these extremely nationalistic days.
