And do you remember the evenings when, returning from work, you went to the nearest ATB, bought products worth UAH 344.75, stood in line for 20 minutes, where everyone only needed a piece of gum, and when finally cashier Yana turned to the next person with the words: "Hello, do you need a bag?", a text message came to the phone with a request to take a bottle of oil.

We would give anything for hellish queues and loud "security-cancellation" women.

And in the war, "such luxury" is no longer allowed. Queues are the risk of being killed by a missile. Loud women are a sign of panic. And the messages don't come to the phone anymore - wait a long time, it's better to write them yourself.

This is what Volodymyr Bezymyanov - the coordinator of the direction of providing assistance to military units - has been doing for six months. He is the CONNECTING LINK between the front and the partners of the HUB - he receives letters from one and writes to the other.

And then from the territory of the "charity store" he sends cars with water, tea, cookies, honey, canned food, stew, personal hygiene products, and the last time a delicacy from the British fund got lost - canned pineapples also went to the Armed Forces.

Such "handovers" are far from a one-time action. Up to 5 times a week, Volodymyr helps the special forces located within the Slobozhanshchyna. The number of brigades that Rotary HUB takes care of is more than a dozen, so the so-called "average check" of a volunteer is, unfortunately, not at all 300 peaceful hryvnias.

However, if it were not expensive, the life and strength of our defenders are not valued in hryvnias, dollars or euros. They are evaluated by kilograms of charitable food, which we supplied, are supplying and will supply until the message arrives on the smartphone: "UKRAINE WON!"
