Special meeting of the club on April 20!
Open meeting of the club, which is attended by a guest. David Booth is the president of the Dublin Rotary Club. It is the oldest club in Ireland, 111 years old.
The president of our club, Gennady Ivanov, briefly told how the projects began: “From the first day of the war, during the attack on Kharkiv. Business became, shops closed. People in a panic were looking for food. Our club decided to organize a humanitarian staff, which still exists. Cargo from partners in Ukraine and abroad is accepted here.
About 200 volunteer organizations cooperate with our hub.
During the 56 days of the war, we established relations with 26 charitable organizations. Eighteen of which are Rotary clubs.
Projects that our club has already implemented during the war:
- Warm blankets for bomb shelters
- Terrorist defense ankle boots
- We buy food
- We install filters to provide drinking water
- We organized teams to restore windows in hospitals and apartments in Kharkiv
- We supply the necessary equipment for the Ministry of Emergencies of Kharkiv "
David, came to visit for an open but working meeting. Therefore, he managed to immerse himself in all our difficulties and tasks. The meeting was chaired by Chief of Staff and Rotary Club Membership Officer Serhiy Ivaglo.

1000-1200 food kits per day are given to volunteer organizations that provide targeted assistance. Accordingly, for a week it is
30,000-40,000 people provided with food kits. Unfortunately, our financial capabilities allow us to buy only vegetables, cereals and pasta for civilians. We save canned food for the military.
David was surprised and shocked by what we were doing. Assistance is provided in the conditions under which projects are implemented. Listening to our stories, he expressed a sincere desire to help Ukraine. Throughout the meeting, we heard “It's awful“ ”. And it's really awful, but we are where we are and we will do what we have! With the support and help of friends from different countries, it will be much easier for us to do it!
Everything will be Ukraine!
